30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 21

Day 21: Disappointment/Fear

An upset I’m grateful for is having to drop my Finite Math class. It was painful, embarrassing, and scary. But I’ve learned so many things, that I’m not sure I would have otherwise, in the past few months.

  • I’m stronger than I know
  • Tutors are key
  • Professors are always willing to talk about their class even if they don’t know you
  • Academic counselors don’t always know what they’re talking about
  • There’s always a chance for redemption

At the very least, I’m grateful that I learned these lessons during an easy time. There won’t be a W on my academic record and I’m still in my first quarter of freshman year. Were the circumstances different, however, this could have been much worse.
