If like is like writing with a pen…
Make every line different. Let the ink flow a little different each time you pick up the pen. Spill it, give it a good shake, draw lightly, press on the paper.
Write a story you want to read. This doesn’t just apply to writing novels, this applies to real life as well!
Don’t sweat the little things. Everyone spills their ink from time to time. Learn to focus more on picking the pen up than crying black tears.
Celebrate the small successes. Pick up a red pen and circle the time when you weren’t late to English class. Underline the day you made a successful craft. Bold the time you proved someone wrong.
Don’t let anyone else hold the pen. Your story, your life. Nobody else’s opinions should change what goes in the book. No events outside your control should change the writing either. Be true to yourself!
Don’t be afraid of change. It’s okay if it doesn’t quite make sense how one chapter leads to another as long as you’re happy with where you now are.
Lastly…KEEP MOVING FORWARD!!!! How are you meant to finish your book if you keep re-reading the last chapter? Remember: Life. Goes. On.
Hope you lovelies enjoyed this little bout of inspiration! I know I did. ❤
